Clinton

Named for Governor DeWitt Clinton of New York, Clinton is located approximately 40 miles north of Conway. Clinton is the county seat of Van Buren County and was founded in 1842 by George Counts. Clinton hosts annual Chuckwagon Races each September. As of the 2000 census, Clinton had a population of 2,283 residents.
